Things of interest  Once again there's the mention that Glinda's castle is in the north. That fits with the Borderland directions. Popcorn is mowed and threshed? Doesn't grow on corn stalks then. It appears that it's a kind of grain. That being the case, previous mentions of fields of grain might not be wheat, rye etc but kinds of snacks perhaps including raisinettes and such little bitty numerosities. Crackerjack too maybe. Apparently all the Kings and Queens at the court of Tititi Hoochoo have black hair, their adjuncts need not. Moonlight has brown hair. In parallel with the court of the Chinese Jade Emperor, all the Kings and Queens kowtow to the Private Citizen. For a nice picture of a kowtow see the Wikipedia article. Also in parallel with Chinese metaphysics, once there was a world, the first animalia were the dragons. In distinction to the Chinese fairy court where the Jade Emperor has the Long Eared Hearer and the Far Eyed See-er, the Nome king has the Long Eared Hearer and the Magic Spyglass. Ozma is now a half a head taller than Dorothy. She used to be the same size.
