The Minor Trumps - the Order

The major trumps of the Tarot being individuals of a causative sequence have to be in a sequence that is non causative in order to be random. The minor trumps, on the other hand, are all combinations. They are the ten vowels of the Tetractys combined with themselves. This makes them reflective without being causative, so they can be listed in their normal order. Which they are.

Ace through ten are the Tetractys one through ten. They are in a reflective, passive order. The court cards are the four major determinatives of the Tetractys. They are in their normal reflective of determination order. That makes fourteen cards per suit.

The suits are the four external aspects of existence.

The first suit is Cups or Hearts which represents the manifoldings of A Purple Moon. North. The specific absence, the Void. Reflection. The source of everything and the final outcome of everything.

The second suit is Clubs or Rods which represents the manifoldings of E Green Venus. East. Birth, beginnings, the original first state of everything. Perception. Involvement. The thousand mile road begins where you are standing. Always. Take one hundred steps and you are still at the beginning of the thousand mile road. Your life can never not be changed, though of course your options may decrease as you get near to the end.

The third suit is Coins or Diamonds which represents the manifoldings of I Yellow Saturn. South. Culmination. Exaltation. The most of the most. Limits. Ends. As far as things can be taken. How far can you go into a forest? Only half way. Once you get to the center you are going out. Cut a string in half. Do you have two halves of a piece of string? No. You have two pieces of string? Baby riddles, but they're true.

The fourth suit is Swords or Spades which represents the manifoldings of O Red Mars. West. Termination. Death. The final state of those things that have a beginning. That which came together falls apart. The caterpillar dies and becomes food for the bit of itself that becomes a butterfly. It is the camel's hair that passes through the eye of the needle, not the camel.

And after Death? Then back to North, Purple, nothingness, the Void. If you are no more than a social construct, then you are a flame that goes out and cannot be relit. A different flame may be lit in its place but it is a different flame.

If, on the other hand, you have gone beyond being a social construct. If you have a degree of personal reality, the Void is just another state, to be appreciated for what it isn't. Another "where-you-are-standing" on the thousand mile road.
