13 Gems

The breastplate of the high priest has 12 gems on it, in the order of the twelve signs with each group of three read from left to right. See Zodiac, Ogham and Alephbet for additional correspondences.

Sounds like a square array on the breastplate rather than the circular array as pictured above. There is an observer report from the time of the destruction of the second temple that states that it was a square array, but then that may not be the original breastplate, or even a good copy of it.

And then in Revelation there is the foundation of the New Jerusalem which is almost exactly the same 12 stones.

Which Blavatsky's Ebionites read as the foundation of the New Jerusalem taken from the bottom up. That is, Evolution in reverse order and then Causality in reverse order, starting from the position which is opposite to the beginning. They understand these reversals to imply Recursion and Recusion.
Si Yellow Topaz at the bottommost position giving Internal Limits as the basis of the foundation -
going on up to Da Purple External Reflections - Partners
as the very topmost and most evident relationship of the inhabitants of the New Jerusalem with God.
One of the gems has changed. Apparently in 1500 years or so Amber was no longer considered to be a gemstone and was replaced with Chrysoprase.
