the Land of Oz
part 1

The order of colors on Jinjur's dress and buttons was counter clockwise from the front, blue, yellow, red and purple. No matter how the colors shift for the four different lands, red and purple are going to be next to one another. Which means none of the costumes make the flag of Oz. All of them are crosswise and contrary to it. An army of Revolt indeed!

((  A recursive land responds to its rulership. The witch wars and slavery had turned Oz practically Mundane. Animals and some things could talk but had no rights, only lefts. There was birth, old age, sickness and death.

Dorothy had gone through the Land of Oz like a dose of salts. The wicked witches were no longer in power but it was still an Interregnum with no rightful ruler.

Bread came from fields of grain. Hard boiled eggs from chickens. Tip went bird nesting and angled for fish with hooks. Food was stored for the winter. Winter in Oz!

Mombi had pigs. I doubt if she took the vegetarian option. Fall is the traditional time to make sausage. Perhaps that's why there's no mention of storing food for the pigs for winter.

Animals ate other animals as a matter of course. Jinjur thought it was not wicked to kill non-humans.

When everything talks, talking is of no significance.

Tip averred that everything comes to an end sometime. In Oz, the Ever Young!

Children belonged to their parents. Glinda was dependant on spies for information. The sawhorse had no right to live unless it was of use. The ferry man demanded money.

If it wasn't for the talking animals, ambient things and the witches and wizards, that could be any american city in the 1950s.
The land needed its rightful ruler  ))
