the Emerald City of Oz
E Green Desire Bunbury The food that Utensia doesn't have. We are all food. Like the song in Popeye the movie. Everything is food food food. Once it walked on an animule. Now it walks along with you. Everything is food. We come from nothing. We eat and grow. And then die and provide food for others. Unless we go beyond being the eater.
O Red Conflict Bunnybury The resolution of conflict by hiding behind walls. Food that went indoors and became civilized. Clothed anyhow. Down there at the bottom of the Void is Death. Our beginning and end. Unless we go beyond being the eaten.
EE Blue Judgment Context Rigmarole Town An obsession with clarity if not concision. A clear context allows a maximum of meaning in a brief statement. These folks take it the other way round. The context is lost in the communication. Until you know who you are, how can you define yourself to be what you want always to have been?
I Yellow Completion Flutterbudget Center The last of the internal obsessions. Where does potentiality change into reality? How real are ten potentialities that might happen, in relationship to the one of them that actually does? An obsession with potentials means that none of them ever does become actual.
and then in order of appearance underlying Oz
II White Identity Phanfasms The first of the external obsessions. Where appearance is more important than the thing itself. What are you if all you are is how you seem to others? If your social relationships are your entirety, what is left for you to be?
AA Black Causality Growleywogs An obsession with ability. Strong enough to do anything, but they have nothing to do.
UU Colorless Recursion Whimsies The last of the external obsessions. The obsession with transcending obsession. If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him. The foolishness of foolishness. Appearance that fools no one except themselves.
(UU) Colorless The Recursion that underlies Recursion Nomes The obsessive nature of obsession. The underlying Nomes that spend their lives in meaningless mining and manufacture.
(UU) Colorless Unreferencibility The beginning and end of Recursion. Oz is made invisible, unfindable and safe forever (for a while)Dorothy and Oz are complete. The story of Oz is over. Except - like Ojo with Scrap's brain furniture, Baum has added way too much Validity (a substitute for Truth) to the mix for him to be able to fold up his tents and quietly steal away. As any child can tell, if magic is real, then Oz is real. And what child doesn't believe in magic? A few maybe, with overly rational parents. That's not the most of us. To the extent that we believe in magic, we wish Oz were real. I am quite sure that Baum would have had to continue the Oz stories irregardless of any financial difficulties.
